Horizons comprehensive services are designed make your photovoltaic installation hassle free. We offer a full range of services from turnkey, to individual services to suit your requirements.
Site Survey
Stage 1
We will conduct an assessment of your property for a PV system. This allows us to provide a formal quotation including all aspects of your installation.
Grid Connection
Stage 2
We will make an application for connection to the grid. Domestic systems usually have no problem receiving permission, in some cases we can just inform the District Network Operator (DNO) of our intention to connect. Larger systems may take slightly longer.
Design
Stage 3
Solar Photovoltaic systems are modular and we design the system specifically to suit your property and your requirements. Based on the results of the site survey, we will specify a pv technology and the number of panels that can be installed on your roof, we position the inverter and calculate the cable routes ensuring that you receive the optimum output possible from your preferred system.
Planning
Stage 4
We can help you with your planning application. Domestic installations rarely require planning for solar photovoltaics as systems fall within permitted development rights. Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), conservation or listed buildings will need planning. Commercial buildings also usually need planning.
Installation
Stage 5
We provide comprehensive installation services. Our project team will organise all the logistics around the installations such as access equipment (scaffold), electrical connection and installation, etc. We will also electrically test and commission your system, give you a demonstration of your finished and functioning system and provide your with Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
FIT/ROC Registration
Stage 6
We will provide all the information and documentation you require to complete your application and receive Feed In Tariff payments under the Clean Energy Cashback Scheme.
Maintenance
Stage 7
PV systems do not need regular maintenance, however we will provide service back-up should you experience any problems with your system.
