Horizons comprehensive services are designed make your wind turbine installation hassle free. We offer a full range of services from turnkey, to individual services to suit your requirements.
Site Survey
Stage 1
We will conduct a full survey of your property and assess its suitability for a wind turbine. Following the survey we will provide a report to advise on how to proceed. We will advise you on the best location for a turbine on your property based on access to wind, costs of installation and feasibility for planning.
Design
Stage 2
Based on your requirements and the results of our site survey, we will specify a wind turbine ideal for your property, and will design the system to ensure you get the best output from your system.
Grid Connection
Stage 3
If your site survey goes well, we will make an application for connection to the grid. Depending on your current connection and the turbine you require, you may need permission to connect or in some cases pay for the grid to be upgraded to facilitate connecting your turbine. These costs will be determined by your District Network Operator (DNO). We will liaise with the DNO on your behalf.
Planning
Stage 4
We will assist you in making your planning application. Following your survey we will prepare a site specific planning statement to help your application proceed smoothly and we will answer any information requests from the planning department.
Installation
Stage 5
Our fully trained installers will install and commission your turbine for you. Our project team will organise all the logistics around installations such as diggers, cranes, access equipment, soil removal etc. We will also test and commission your system and provide Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
FIT/ROC Registration
Stage 6
We will provide all the information and documentation you require to complete your application and receive Feed In Tariff payments under the Clean Energy Cashback Scheme.
Maintenance
Stage 7
PV systems do not need regular maintenance, however we will provide service back-up should you experience any problems with your system.
